Morning news and update

After opening the session on a flat note, Nifty inched higher to mark the day high of 11,307.60 and, thereafter, it spent the rest of the day in a range-bound trajectory. In the end, Nifty ended with a modest gain of 0.29 per cent at 11,284, thereby ending its six-day losing streak. The price action formed a small body bull candle with upper and lower shadows. In the coming session, the index has immediate resistance placed at the level of 11,322 as the 5-DEMA is placed near about this level, followed by 11,360 level. The first task for the bulls to maintain the positive tone would be sustaining above the short term moving average, i.e. 5-DEMA. Secondly, the index need to start forming higher high and higher low on the daily chart on a sustained basis, else this small upside bounce would be termed as a relief rally. On the downside, immediate support is placed around the 11,200 mark.
