Market Live: Nifty likely to open Lower.

The Nifty50 is expected to open lower on Thursday following Asian markets which were trading mostly mixed. US markets ended higher after minutes from last month Federal Reserve meeting showed policymakers had debated a more aggressive interest rate cut, said a Reuters report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 240.29 points, or 0.93%, to 26,202.73, the S&P 500 gained 23.92 points, or 0.82%, to 2,924.43 and the Nasdaq Composite added 71.65 points, or 0.90%, to 8,020.21. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, with 0.24 percent loss or 26 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,906-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Global Market

Asian Markets: Asian markets are lower today as Chinese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Shanghai Composite is off 0.21% while the Hang Seng is down 0.95%. The Nikkei 225 is not trading.

US Markets:  North and South American markets finished broadly higher today with shares in Brazil leading the region. The Bovespa is up 2.00% while Mexico's IPC is up 0.95% and U.S.'s S&P 500 is up 0.82%.

European Markets: European markets closed sharply higher today with shares in France leading the region. The CAC 40 is up 1.70% while Germany's DAX is up 1.30% and London's FTSE 100 is up 1.11%.

Rupee stands at 71.56 per dollar.

Market Live: Nifty likely to open flat.

The Nifty50 is expected to open flat on Wednesday tracking Asian markets which are trading lower as fresh worries about a global recession led investors to dump risky assets, with US President Donald Trump showing no signs of backing down in his trade war with China. Wall Street rally ends as financial shares slide: Financial shares led US stocks lower on Tuesday to end a three-day rally as investors awaited comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell at the end of the week, reported Reuters. On August 20, the BSE Sensex shed 74.48 points at 37,328 while the Nifty50 was down 36.90 points to 11,017. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader index in India, with a 0.10 percent loss or 11 points. Nifty futures were trading around 11,017.50-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Global Market

Asian Markets:  Asian markets are lower today as Japanese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Nikkei 225 is off 0.39% while the Hang Seng is down 0.02%. The Shanghai Composite is not trading.
US Markets:  North and South American markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices. The IPC gained 0.36%, while the S&P 500 led the Bovespa lower. They fell 0.79% and 0.25% respectively.
European Markets: European markets finished lower today with shares in London leading the region. The FTSE 100 is down 0.90% while Germany's DAX is off 0.55% and France's CAC 40 is lower by 0.50%.

Rupee stands at 71.45 per dollar.

Market Live: Nifty likely to open flat-to-higher.

The Nifty50 is expected to open flat-to-higher on Friday following positive trend seen in other Asian markets, but fresh concerns about Sino-US trade ties are likely to limit gains in the region. Weighing on risk appetite was a report from Bloomberg that Washington is delaying a decision about licenses for U.S. firms to restart trade with Huawei Technologies, said a Reuters report. On Wall Street, the S&P 500 registered its largest one-day percentage gain in about two months on Thursday, with the Dow and the Nasdaq also climbed more than 1 percent, added the report. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat to positive opening for the broader index in India, with 0.09 percent gain or 10 points. Nifty futures were trading around 11,081-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Global Market

Asian Markets: Asian markets are lower today as Japanese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Nikkei 225 is off 0.74% while the Hang Seng is down 0.40%. The Shanghai Composite is not trading.
US Markets: North and South American markets finished broadly higher today with shares in Brazil leading the region. The Bovespa is up 1.91% while U.S.'s S&P 500 is up 1.88% and Mexico's IPC is up 0.02%.
European Markets: European markets closed sharply higher today with shares in France leading the region. The CAC 40 is up 2.31% while Germany's DAX is up 1.68% and London's FTSE 100 is up 1.21%.

Market Live: Nifty likely to open higher.

The Nifty50 is expected to open higher on Thursday following a mixed trend seen in other Asian markets. Overnight, US markets closed mostly higher but rising worries over a global economic downturn capped gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 22.45 points to 26,007.07, the S&P 500 gained 2.21 points to 2,883.98 and the Nasdaq Composite added 29.56 points to 7,862.83. Back home, the S&P BSE Sensex fell 286 points to 36,690 while the Nifty50 closed 92 points lower at 10,855 on Wednesday. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat to positive opening for the broader index in India, with 0.04 percent gain or 4 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,869-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Global Market:

Asian Markets: Asian markets are higher today as Japanese and Hong Kong shares show gains. The Nikkei 225 is up 0.59% while the Hang Seng is up 0.37%. The Shanghai Composite is not trading.
US Markets: North and South American markets finished broadly higher today with shares in Mexico leading the region. The IPC is up 1.63% while Brazil's Bovespa is up 0.61% and U.S.'s S&P 500 is up 0.08%.
European Markets: European markets finished higher today with shares in Germany leading the region. The DAX is up 0.71% while France's CAC 40 is up 0.61% and London's FTSE 100 is up 0.38%.

Market Live: Nifty likely to open flat-to-lower.

The Nifty50 is expected to open flat-to-lower on Wednesday tracking Asian markets which were trading with positive bias. The rebound in sentiment came after the People Bank of China took stepped in to stabilise the yuan with a firmer-than-expected fixing. The yuan had fallen sharply on Monday, going past the symbolic 7-per-dollar level, and prompting Washington to label Beijing a currency manipulator in a major escalation of the year-long trade dispute between the world two largest economies, said a Reuters report. Overnight, U.S. stocks jumped more than 1 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 311.78 points to 26,029.52, the S&P 500 gained 37.03 points to 2,881.77 and the Nasdaq Composite added 107.23 points to 7,833.27. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, with a 0.47 percent loss or 51.5 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,911-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

IRB Infra gets Rs4,000cr investment by GIC affiliates for road biz As part of the transaction, IRB Infra will transfer 9 of its BOT assets into a private Infrastructure Investment Trust in which IRB will hold controlling stake of 51%.

Reliance Industries and BP expand partnership to sell transport fuels in India This is a further development of RIL and BP longstanding partnership, which began in 2011 and expanded in 2017 including an agreement to seek options to work together to develop differentiated fuels and mobility businesses.

Market Live: Nifty likely to open lower.

The Nifty50 is expected to open lower on Tuesday following Asian markets which were trading lower amid rising fears of rising trade-war as well as currency woes. U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Monday the government had determined that China is manipulating its currency and that Washington would engage the International Monetary Fund to eliminate unfair competition from Beijing, said a Reuters report. Wall Street major indexes already posted their biggest percentage drop of the year on Monday on fears of an escalation in the U.S.-China trade war, the report added. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a with 0.66 percent loss or 72 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,797-level on the Singaporean Exchange.
